tunica, or dalmatic, from Akhmin (Panopolis) in Byzantine Egypt, probably 4th Century.   It is a bleached linen tabby with purple,  tapestry woven, wool decorations with linen details. Loom width 259 cm.

tunica, or dalmatic, from Akhmin (Panopolis) in Byzantine Egypt, 5th Century.   It is a bleached linen tabby with red,  tapestry woven, linen and wool decorations.  Loom width 198.9 cm.

tunica, or dalmatic, from Akhmin (Panopolis) in Islamic Egypt, 7th-9th Centuries.   It is a weft faced red wollen tabby with colored,  tapestry woven, linen and wool decorations. Loom width 264 cm.
