According to the typology given in Nockert, Type 3 Hose are typified as
"Short hose, possibly with a foot. Leg cut in one piece -- on the warp -- with a rear seam and cut straight off at the top. The cut of the foot is uncertain."
Examples of this include Herjolfsnes no.90 and Herjolfsnes no.91.
