PLATE no. XV
Collection of the Directors of Museums to the Corporation of Liverpool.

LORD BYRON’S CAP, GLOVES, AND SHOES.

No. 65. Blue plush cap, with silk tassel and ornamented peak, and gauntlet gloves, which are sewn with an outside seam, the same as at the present day; also Grecian shoes, with latchet and straps, which are made with a front and back seam, the sole and upper being one whole piece of firm leather, without heels, the toes curiously pointed.

The above were worn by Lord Byron in Greece, in 1822.
